Welcome to The Old Barn Bed & Breakfast, Thoralby in beautiful Bishopdale, in the northern Yorkshire Dales.
Running off Wensleydale and into Upper Wharfedale, with fells rising either side of Bishopdale Beck on its journey to the River Ure, this is a little gem of a Dale in which to relax, unwind and soak in the splendours of this special place.
The delightful village of Thoralby (aerial view shown right), complete with village pub and shop/post office, is at the heart of the Yorkshire Dales. Cycling, walking, exploring or just sitting - however you prefer to relax, this is your ideal area.
There is nowhere quite like it; heather clad moors and fells sweep down to ancient lush green meadows - a scene of natural beauty supporting a variety of animals, birds and wildlife - what better place to escape and get away from it all.
The Old Barn is to the south of the village, with superb walks straight from the door - perfect if you are looking for peace and quiet, and as we only let one room you will not even be disturbed by other guests and will wake each morning to a wonderful breakfast to set you up for your days in the Dales.
